Unfaltering attention to detail in every aspect of
design and construction is the distinctive difference you will find in E.R. Moore's
robes. Other robes may appear similar to E.R. Moore robes at a distance. But to
compare real value, take a close look, examine the fabric and inspect each quality
feature carefully. Let this series of illustrations be your guide in selecting
the best possible quality and value in E.R. Moore's robes.
Bell Sleeves
The graceful bell shape gives full expression with artistic balance and symmetry
to the open-sleeve styles. Even and uniform hems formed through carefully hand-set
tucks encircle the sleeves.
|
| Life Long Hook and Eye
Carefully hand-sewn to last for the life of
the robe, not riveted, as offered by some. Riveting could irreparably damage the
fabric because of the extraordinary stress, requiring replacement of the entire
robe. The E.R. Moore hook and eye closure is rustproof. It works easily and closes
firmly to emphasize the drape, adding to the singer's comfort. |

|
| Zippers
Color matched to the robe, E.R. Moore's zippers are back tacked for extra strength,
rustproof and guaranteed to work for the life of the robe. Velcro closures
are also available as an option on zippered robes. |

French-Felled Seams
For a finished look with no raw edges. Lock stitched for extra strength and safety.

Deep Hems Extra
fabric to improve drape and allow for alteration. Hems are lock stitched and measure
an ample two to three inches.

Reinforced Armholes
The armholes are deeply cut for comfort. We add strong colorfast seam tape to
withstand strain and wear.

Full Cut Robes
by E.R. Moore are generously cut with no fabric skimping. The width is proportioned
and full for a flowing drape and most of our styles are interchangeable between
men and women. The full sleeves are bias cut to complement the drape in the robe's
fluid lines and are balanced with the size of the robe. |

Lifelong Yoke
The yoke makes the robe and E.R. Moore yokes last for life. We hand cut our yokes
in two pieces. This more expensive method allows us to size to each individual's
measurements, and the two piece yoke contours to the natural shape of the shoulder.
To produce our four-ply yoke, a special wigan is attached to Pellon which is soft
and pliable without rippling and puckering. The robe material has an extra row
of stitching added to eliminate any lining rollout. The result shapes the yoke
and gives resiliency and drape for life.

Fluting Here
is where visual beauty begins. E.R. Moore uses a special non-shrinking fluting
felt and collects three and one-half inches of fabric into one inch of fluting,(the
most in the industry), to give ample fullness and comfort. Precisely machined
and even, unmatchable by hand work. Precision fluting is especially important
since the graceful folds of the robe drape from the fluting, straight and even.
